Coos Bay, March 19, 2020: Bay Area Hospital’s Kids’ HOPE Center traditionally holds three annual events in the month of April: a Benefit Dinner, Pinwheels for Prevention planting, and Family Fun Day. As of today, the following decisions have been made regarding the three above-mentioned events: 

RESCHEDULED: Light Up the Night Benefit Dinner originally scheduled to be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at The Mill Casino. This event has been rescheduled to happen on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at The Mill Casino. If you or your organization have purchased tickets for this event and you would like a refund, please contact the Kids’ HOPE Center at 541-266-8806. If you would like to keep your reservations for the new October 16th date, please call the Kids’ HOPE Center as well and let them know. 
 
CANCELLED: Pinwheels for Prevention planting which was originally scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kids’ HOPE Center and Family Fun Day which was originally scheduled to be held on Saturday April 25th will both be cancelled. 
 
These announcements come days after Governor Kate Brown announced that gatherings of more than 25 people were prohibited, and the Kids’ HOPE Center is following these orders. The Kids’ HOPE Center’s priority remains the health and safety of the children served and our community during this time.
