Mel Stibal, MSN, MBA - Bay Area Hospital

Mel Stibal, MSN, MBA, has over 30 years of experience in healthcare leadership in various roles. Before joining Bay Area Hospital, Mel had been working at Legacy Health in various leadership roles (2017-2025), including Senior Workforce Strategist, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at three Legacy Health facilities, and Legacy System Director of Patient Safety. Prior to joining Legacy, she served in various capacities, including Associate CNO and Service Line Director, with responsibilities for nursing and other essential services.

Mel has experience working in both smaller community hospitals and large quaternary academic centers. Mel holds both an MA and an MSN degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
