Bay Area Hospital welcomes Mr. Kelly C. Morgan as interim President and CEO

COOS BAY, Ore. (August 5, 2025) – Bay Area Hospital welcomes Kelly C. Morgan as the interim President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective August 4, 2025. Mr. Morgan was selected by the Bay Area Hospital Board of Directors on July 22, 2025.

Mr. Morgan has an extensive background in the healthcare industry and was most recently president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, where he retired in 2023. He also served as President and CEO of Sierra View Local Healthcare District in Porterville, California, and Mercy Hospital and Health Services in Merced, California. He brings over 42 years in hospital leadership to Bay Area Hospital.

Mr. Morgan holds a Master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University.

Mr. Morgan believes in building partnerships and has meetings planned with community leaders, physicians and providers, and hospital leadership to gather as much information as possible to help chart the course for Bay Area Hospital’s immediate future. He is joined by Mr. Doug Dickson, the new interim chief financial officer, with whom he has done previously focused hospital turnaround work. They will concentrate most of their efforts on analyzing the organization’s financial operations and implementing an accelerated turnaround plan for the hospital.
