We’re committed to ensuring the safety of every person who enters our hospital. Below, you’ll find our current visitor policies, designed to provide clear guidelines to support everyone’s well-being.

Visitation Guidelines

General & Open Visitation

Visitors are permitted for patients in PSU (Post Surgical Unit), MCU (Medical Care Unit), IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit), and patients in end-of-life care.

General Patient Areas allow visitation from 5:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. (one visitor at a time, per patient). After 8:00 p.m. limited access is allowed only through the Emergency Department entrance.

Visitors under 12 are not allowed in the Family Birth Center, except for healthy siblings of newborns. Pre- and Post-Operative Patients may have one visitor at a time per patient.

Speciality Areas

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.Visitor(s) will use the intercom at the ICU doors to gain permission to enter No overnight visitation unless approved No one under 18 years old allowed to visit in ICU. Clinical Manager and / or Charge RN has discretion depending on critical state of the patient and / or end-of-life situations.

The OR (Operating Room) is restricted to visiting providers and medical personnel with permission.

APU (Acute Psychiatric Unit) patients have the right to visitors unless otherwise specified by a provider.

Pediatrics and the Family Birth Center (FBC) have specific visitation guidelines.

Family Birth Center (FBC)

No visitors under the age of 12 unless they are healthy siblings of the newborn. They are not counted as support persons.
A professional doula is not counted in the total number of support persons.
Clinical Manager, Provider, or Charge Nurse has discretion to make exceptions regarding visitation.
During labor and up to a 2 hour recovery period after birth, only 4 support persons allowed.
Visitors need to use the intercom at the FBC doors to gain permission to enter.

Pediatric

Visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the exception of parents.

Emergency Deparment (ED)

One support person is allowed per patient’s care, with one parent or legal guardian permitted for patients under 18.

Operating Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Release of Information (ROI) hours are 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
