On June 20th we received a communication from Change Healthcare, Inc. (CHC”) informing us that customers of theirs were impacted due to a criminal cyberattack on CHC’s systems that included deployment of ransomware on CHC’s systems on February 21, 2024.  They provided an update on the impacted data review process undertaken by CHC.  Bay Area Hospital is a customer of CHC, and utilizes their billing services. They reported they are in the late stages of the review of impacted data containing protected health information (PHI). To date, they have not identified specific individuals whose PHI was impacted, who are customers of CHC.  To read the full notice please download here
